The fan is worthless. Must be on high to feel it at all and even then it not good.

I spent a weekend installing (3) Hampton Bay Glendale III 52” 3-Light ceiling fans from HD and (1) Harbor Breeze 52” 4-Light fans in 10’ flush ceiling; I needed a second person on the ladder for this specific one.
Ceiling Cap:
– it’s in completely in the way wiring up to the junction box
– the screw holes to secure the cap are so close to the ceiling it’s impossible to have your screw driver straight on because your hand and the handle are hitting the ceiling (stripped one screw)
– screws do not have any grip to hand tighten first
– handle scratches on ceiling
Blades:
– complete manual assembly: screws, washers, etc
– 2nd person was needed to stop the unit from spinning while trying to screw the blade(s) in
– there is one slit opening to install each blade
– screws are loose from the arm and can fall to the ground
Light Unit:
– had to twist and shove this in place
– 2nd person needed to push/hold in place so I could install the 3 tiny screws
**Hampton Bay Installation Difference**
– All assembly screw heads where thick/rigid allowing you to hand thread and not strip
– Screws came preassembled w/washers
– Blade screws dropped into the arm holes and they do NOT fall to ground when installing.
Overall the CPM, lighting and style was exactly what I needed but I will stick with installing Hampton Bay vs Harbor Breeze ceiling fans in the future.

It’s more the service that I want to write about here. The girl didn’t know any of the products and I mean, she didn’t know anything. She was really not the mood to give any customer service.
The product, however, is a bit lackluster. I purchased it simply because it’s the one that my renter wanted, but she could have had a much better one.

Installation was pretty straight forward. I used the “close” mount and it went quite well. Whether to use or not use the short drop down piece was somewhat confusing. It is only used on a sloped ceiling.

Great fan! It was easy to install. My only complaint is the box was misleading about a remote control. It’s compatible with one but isn’t included. Otherwise, a whisper quiet addition to the master bedroom. Also, for once they actually included light bulbs.

The fan works very well. The box was misleading, this was not a fan with a remote control only remote control ready. Several of the other boxes made it clear that their fans were not remote control fans. This fan box shows a remote on the side of the box. After having the fan installed and asking the installer for the remote, I was advised that the fan did not come remote control ready as eluded to on the box.

Have installed a number of ceiling fans. This one looks good when installed and works well. The issue is that the designer never installed a ceiling fan before and made access to pieces difficult. The screws used to connect pieces are a flat head screw which do not start easily. Having to install it without the extension made getting a crew driver in to tighter the screw and at the correct angle extremely difficult and frustrating. The designer should be made to install this fan, and they would then redesign the location of connecting points. The suggestion in a previous review to use a towel to cover the fan motor so that screws do not fall into the motor is a necessity. Once over the frustration of installing it, you will be pleased with the actual fan and light.
