Misleading it says remote ready on the box doesn’t meant u just need the remote u have to buy the whole kit for $40 to add this on the fan ive ended up paying 2 times to electrician because in store the employee told me that u only need remote and its not u have to buy the whole remote rieciever not buying this company again misleading cheating company

Great fan! It was easy to install. My only complaint is the box was misleading about a remote control. It’s compatible with one but isn’t included. Otherwise, a whisper quiet addition to the master bedroom. Also, for once they actually included light bulbs.

Have installed a number of ceiling fans. This one looks good when installed and works well. The issue is that the designer never installed a ceiling fan before and made access to pieces difficult. The screws used to connect pieces are a flat head screw which do not start easily. Having to install it without the extension made getting a crew driver in to tighter the screw and at the correct angle extremely difficult and frustrating. The designer should be made to install this fan, and they would then redesign the location of connecting points. The suggestion in a previous review to use a towel to cover the fan motor so that screws do not fall into the motor is a necessity. Once over the frustration of installing it, you will be pleased with the actual fan and light.

Installation was pretty straight forward. I used the “close” mount and it went quite well. Whether to use or not use the short drop down piece was somewhat confusing. It is only used on a sloped ceiling.

Nice looking fan. Easy instalation, just follow the directions step by step. One thing I picked up reading the reviews beforehand, when working with the little screws above the fan motor drape a towel over the fan motor so any dropped screws will not fall into the motor housing. Great advice because I dropped them several times. Make sure you have fan rated boxes. Our builder installed fan rated boxes in all the rooms so that was a plus. Nice and quite and smooth. Well worth the money.

I spent a weekend installing (3) Hampton Bay Glendale III 52” 3-Light ceiling fans from HD and (1) Harbor Breeze 52” 4-Light fans in 10’ flush ceiling; I needed a second person on the ladder for this specific one.
Ceiling Cap:
– it’s in completely in the way wiring up to the junction box
– the screw holes to secure the cap are so close to the ceiling it’s impossible to have your screw driver straight on because your hand and the handle are hitting the ceiling (stripped one screw)
– screws do not have any grip to hand tighten first
– handle scratches on ceiling
Blades:
– complete manual assembly: screws, washers, etc
– 2nd person was needed to stop the unit from spinning while trying to screw the blade(s) in
– there is one slit opening to install each blade
– screws are loose from the arm and can fall to the ground
Light Unit:
– had to twist and shove this in place
– 2nd person needed to push/hold in place so I could install the 3 tiny screws
**Hampton Bay Installation Difference**
– All assembly screw heads where thick/rigid allowing you to hand thread and not strip
– Screws came preassembled w/washers
– Blade screws dropped into the arm holes and they do NOT fall to ground when installing.
Overall the CPM, lighting and style was exactly what I needed but I will stick with installing Hampton Bay vs Harbor Breeze ceiling fans in the future.

I only dislike one thing – the wings can’t be placed without taking off the light fixture. This makes it hard when you have to change the sides of the wings to different color

This was no harder to install than any other ceiling fan, I like the mounting bracket is wider than my old ceiling fan which gives this fan much better support.
Apparently it’s becoming rare to find a ceiling fan that isn’t LED, allows you to actually change the bulbs (not get stuck with a broken LED light that blinks/flashes), and has chains to turn change the fan & turn off the light. If you have a remote only, and you’ve lost it or it de-synced, then you’re out of luck…

I did order a 12 in. down rod since I have 10 ft. ceilings just in case and the installer said it was good that I did. Wish the online ad was more correct about needing rod for 10 ft. ceilings.

Easy to install. However, installing last fan blade and last screw on canopy required some effort. Reversible blades a plus. For normal height ceilings, no down rod needed. Light kit can use higher lumen CFL or LED bulbs, especially if fan is only source of light in the room.

Asked employee in that dept. for advice: reliable AND inexpensive? His smile said I was asking for too much at once. I said difference between this one and one for 2x more money. He said little higher quality and name brand.
Then, he said, he bought the less expensive one 9 – 10 years ago and it’s still running fine, no issues.
That sold me.
Took a few hours for me to install by myself, not familiar with item or process.
Very well packed, well thought out product. DO NOT mix up or throw away anything until it is completely assembled!

The fan is worthless. Must be on high to feel it at all and even then it not good.

Had the old fan down and this new one installed (DIY) in about 2 hours. Could have been faster, but it was above the foot of my bed, which made it awkward to install. After installation, I tried out the fan on high, and it moved a lot of air, and very quiet. The lights are low wattage, but are quite bright when all are lit up. Very pleased with this ceiling fan.

It’s more the service that I want to write about here. The girl didn’t know any of the products and I mean, she didn’t know anything. She was really not the mood to give any customer service.
The product, however, is a bit lackluster. I purchased it simply because it’s the one that my renter wanted, but she could have had a much better one.

I recently installed 3 of these fans. Two of them I bought over a year ago and they work great. The one I just bought the fan does not work, but the light does. The box says remote ready, but there is no remote. Does it need a remote to work. I have installed 3 this month, so I think I know what I am doing. Yes, I redid the wiring twice. I would give 5 stars for the first 2, but this one is a dud! Now to wait for the canned response.

Easily installed in under an hour with basic tools. Make sure the light can is capable of supporting the weight.

First unit died within 12 hours of install. Installed in the evening, next morning fan doesn’t work. Appear the be an issue with the plastic connector. Waiting for replacement to arrive to switch out.

I love the look of this fan and it has a great speed. The only issue is that it is super wobbly. We had to balance it with some coins glued to one of the blades which makes the reversible blades completely useless

It’s bright but the fan doesn’t go very fast

Never got to try fan yet. Bought it on 6/25/24. Your installation service is crap. They never call and keep changing the installation date when I call. Had three dates set up and they never came.

The fan works very well. The box was misleading, this was not a fan with a remote control only remote control ready. Several of the other boxes made it clear that their fans were not remote control fans. This fan box shows a remote on the side of the box. After having the fan installed and asking the installer for the remote, I was advised that the fan did not come remote control ready as eluded to on the box.

The quality is good for a fan less than $100. I’m marking it down one star for the manufacturer providing the wrong screw for one of the fan blades, which cost me some time. Fortunately, a spare of the right screw was provided. Do a parts inventory before you start assembling and you should be fine.

This fan is the perfect match for other three ceiling fans I have in my home. I wanted to put one in one of my guest bedrooms and it looks great. I had Harbor Breeze ceiling fans in my last home and I was pleased with them. So glad I bought this one! i also like the fact that the fans can be flipped if you want to change the color of the fan blades.
