This unit comes with a remote control. Once installed the remote controller did not work to control the fan.

I like the product, but the hardware package was missing and was already installed except for the hardware for the fan. when I called the number for Harbor Breeze I got a representative that handles Harbor Breeze issues. I was told that I could either exchange it or wait 10 days for a response.

Wish I would have read the reviews about the remote before I bought it. It’s difficult to install and then, after 2 hours of installation, the remote doesn’t work. You can’t turn the light on, and the fan is apparently stuck on low for no reason. The remote is completely useless, and it’s the most important part. I’ve searched the web for hours without finding a fix. It can’t be manually operated as there aren’t any pull chains or buttons. My only option is to completely remove it and take it back. I lost hours of my time in the process. That’s the most frustrating part.

Buyer beware. I purchased this item directly from the store. I brought it home, took down and disposed of the existing unit in my kitchen. I installed the fan and as I was finishing the installation by attaching the light housing to the fixture, I saw that the fixture was put in crooked, see photos. When the light housing was screwed into place, the screw itself impeded the fan blade from spinning. I called Customer Service, the resolution to my issue? For me to take it down and then drive it back to the store on my own dollar.
I declined a replacement, that doesn’t make me whole, and there is no guarantee that the next one wouldn’t be defective either. At the Brookhaven, PA store, the three CS reps who were at the counter were chuckling and laughing as I walked away.

The fan worked fine for at most 10 months. We have tried to replace the receiver inside the fan but had little to any luck finding the same component or even a recommended alternative. Even looking for a universal receiver has been a challenge because most found online are too large to fit into the base of the fan. I’d save the time and head ache by buying different unit.

I purchased 4 of these fans two years ago. So far the remote on 3 do not control the fan. They are stuck in whatever mode there were in last I was told I needed a new receiver. I purchased them but the electricion could not install them as there are not enough wires. The replacement remote receiver was to be placed ahead of the fan so the old remote receiver was still in the fan. No guarantee it would still be stuck in the last mode. Had to purchase and pay for installation of 2 fans. Just waiting for the 4th to fail before replacing them. THIS PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE. THEY SHOULD DISCONTINUE SELLING IT. Look at all of the reviews with failed remote receivers, When 3 of 4 fans fail in less than 2 years, it is obvious that it is a piece of junk. Why Loewes will not stand behind them I am not sure. When I replace the other two, they are going back in a grocery cart so they can dispose of them.

Remote control didn’t work after several attempts at resetting the remote control, we couldn’t get it to consistently work. Only sporadic. We had to look up online for videos on how to reset it because the directions weren’t accurate. It wasn’t worth the additional effort to get it to work, so we took it back

I am having the same problem with the remote as others have already written in their review. Harbor Breeze sent me a replacement and that one doesn’t work either unless I’m within inches of the receiver. I got a remote control fan so I didn’t have to use a step stool to reach the chain on my other one. Now I have to get on the second step of a ladder to make the remote work. I can’t wait for my new fan from other manufacture arrives so I can return this one to the store.
It also doesn’t give off enough light for a large room with only two bulbs.

We installed this fan and within days the glass looked crooked, after inspecting we found out that the glass shade was broken where it connects to the fixture. Now, I am hunting for a new glass piece.
I will be buying 7 replacement fans for my home and they surely won’t be this brand. Obviously, I don’t recommend this brand.
